It is a standard file editor, with a quick little FTP client built in, allowing you to connect, edit and disconnect, just as fast as you could with a shell account.
Many ISPs are not offering shell accounts anymore, and NotepadFTP fills the gap.
The file editor has the standard functions, plus you can do a few extra things. You can insert a file at the cursor, or use the library function. Libraries are just stock bits of code you will want to edit to your choosing.
The file libraries.ini holds the libraries. You can easily edit the libraries. Then, you can have your favorite snippets at your disposal.
Most of the options for standard FTP are on the right click menu in the lower part of the screen when you are connected.
Highlighting text (double click) and then right clicking allows you to act on the highlighted file or directory.
Connect, get a file and it opens in the editor. Put the file and you are done. There are also keyboard shortcuts, if you want to skip the right click menu.
You can also CD anywhere, create directories, move, delete, rename files and directories, and set permissions.
