Live Email Verifier (LEV) - a unique program that checks email addresses for validity. LEV is designed for users who have their own mailing lists and want to keep them up-to-date.
LEV will check every email address from mailing list and determine if the e-mails are still valid. Email Verifier is an easy to use tool, yet powerful and reliable, able to verify and clean up your mailing list, remove invalid, not existed and duplicate emails.
Email Verifier decrease Internet traffic keeping you from sending undeliverable messages that causes useless messages between SMTP servers. Email Verifier verifies every e-mail address, allowing you to determine up to 90% of "dead" mail addresses.
Email Verifier works on the same algorithm as ISP mail systems do. Addresses for email are extracted from a Domain Naming Server (DNS). Email Verifier tries to connect with SMTP-servers and simulates the sending of a message.
When some Internet users move from one service provider to another, they do not take their email address along with them. Users who lost their email accounts may not notify you of their loss.
It is important to maintain a clean mailing list and remove bounced/undeliverable emails because a lot of ISP mail servers have been known to block a sender's email domain for repeated sending messages to non-existing email addresses.
Avoid sending newsletters to bad addresses. If you ultimately decide to use a commercial service to manage your list and send your newsletters, you will usually pay either by the number of sent messages or by the size of your list. If you handle the newsletter mailing yourself, then it becomes a time issue.
Attention:
For correct work of the program you need to have access to the port 25. If you're operating within a restrictive firewall then you have to use an external socks proxy server.
The speed depends on the size of your list, your connection to the Internet, and the speed of the Web.
Notes:
The average email address lifespan is 3 years. What happens to old addresses? Some ISP add them to filters as spamtrap addresses. Either way, email sent to a spamtrap doesn't bounce.
It's received by someone and considered spam, or sent straight into a blackhole, along with all your messages to that ISP users.
For some domains, such as AOL, Yahoo you can't verify whether the address is good or not.
