Whereas the core of Open+ offers a way of controlling your associations by overriding them without actually altering them.

The Open+ Expert additional features are designed for you to be able to track actual changes made to your file associations and extensions in your Windows registry, and in most cases, restore any unwanted changes that occurred.

You track changes by first taking a Snapshot of your extensions and associations and then letting Open+ Expert show you any differences from the time of your snapshot.

You restore changes by ticking the checkbox on each line that has changed that you want to restore and then activating the Restore process.

  • Uniquely associates many programs with many extensions
  • Automatically gives you a Pick List when you click on a file and have setup more than one program to work with that file
  • Allows you to override Windows default association and bypass your Pick List with "Make Default"
  • Has categories of associations which can be turned on/off with a simple click
