Top Shelf is an application that helps you record, catalog and display whatever you collect.

Top Shelf features
  • Handles multiple collections at once. Some databases only let you record stamps, others only handle coins. Top Shelf lets you record details of everything you collect; books, comics, postcards, pins, stamps, music, movies, insects, etc, and all at the same time.
  • Customizable database. Add fields and remove them whenever you want.
  • Designable screen layouts. Use the default screen layouts or design a layout for each type of collectable in your collection using simple click-and-drag operations. You can decorate with images, set colors, change fonts, and even have multiple pages of information per item. Top Shelf will use the appropriate layout as each collectable comes into view.
  • Easy grouping and ordering. Group things, put them in sequence, place them in nested containers or categories of your choosing. Organize them to mirror the collection you have or the collection you want to have .
  • Flexible report/printout layouts. Use the Report Manager to control which items are listed, how much detail is printed, and which layout is used. Alternatively, use the quick Grid Printout function to generate a table based on what you see on the screen.
  • Wide range of data types. Describe your collection with text, dates, times, integers (whole numbers), decimals, currency, true/false, rich text (formatted multi-line text), and images in bitmap, icon, metafile, JPEG or GIF format.
  • Powerful search engine. You can browse your collection, navigate up and down through the hierarchy of your containers, sort lists on any field in ascending or descending order, search for specific text, categorize the entire collection by a selected field and count the items in each category. You can even get totals to evaluate your collection.
  • Import/Export facilities to move data to and from comma-delimited, tab-delimited and Microsoft Excel files. You can also import/export database definitions and report layouts to other users of Top Shelf.
