QuitMeter Counter Standalone is a useful application that can calculate to the second (or minute, or hour, or month, or year—you name it!) how long it's been since quitting smoking (or a variety of other vices), along with the amount of money saved.
It runs whenever your computer is on, so it can be checked anytime with a click of the mouse.

No-smoking stats can be inserted into an e-mail with a single hotpaste key combination, like so: "6 months, 6 days, 19 hours, 54 minutes and 15 seconds. 7,553 cigarettes not smoked. $1,019.66 saved." Milestones are noted, with or without fanfare sounds, as they are reached.
