PatternExpert is a tutorial for young developers on the 22 most famous patterns, from the 1995 Design Patterns book by the 'gang of four'. Provided with this detailed tutorial and 'how-to' approach are examples for all 22 pattern in the most common languages, C++, C#, and J# which is basically Java.
These are generated as VS.NET 2005 solutions.
PatternExpert features
A programmer's learning tool (application and source code examples) aimed at people that want to learn more about software patterns. My own experience is that all the software pattern books on the market are lacking in appropriate examples for the patterns as well as not having clear definitions or methods to implement the patterns.
Most patterns consist of pretty straight forward concepts, if presented that way. Some patterns are aimed at new code for a program and others are on how to modify existing code for some new functionality. This program shows both types and how they work.
I consider what I have made to be a tutorial for programmers on the 22 most famous patterns, from the 1995 Design Patterns book by the 'gang of four'. The original goal for that book was to make patterns a common language for programmers.
It was hoped that programmers would be able to tell other programmers that they had used a specific pattern in their design and the other programmer would then instantly have an overview of how that part of the program was implemented.
