Geometria is a standalone JavaTM tool that was designed as an education software for helping you with solid geometry and is distributed by GeoCentral. Unlike Java applets, standalone applications do not need a Web browser such as Mozilla, Internet Explorer or Safari. MS Windows users run Geometria by simply clicking on a file icon, much like any Windows program.
With Geometria, learning high school math is easier than ever. Its comfortable graphic interface lets you perform various actions upon solids as if holding them in your hands.
Geometria's extended toolbag enables you to draw lines, perpendiculars, midpoints, bisectors; measure and lay off distances and angles; transform, cut and join solids; build them from scratch.
Geometria is based on a new approach to interactive geometry. With Geometria, you can compose and solve problems. Problems and resolutions can be saved to a file, emailed to a friend, reviewed.
Geometria is packed with 60 sample problems classified, according to their complexity, into 8 categories: Honey, Sugar, Vanilla, Salt, Vinegar, Ginger, Mustard, Pepper.
Geometria's extensive Shapes menu includes 3-, 4-, 5-, and 6-side regular prisms, pyramids, and the 5 platonic solids. Besides, you may stretch, skew, cut and join them to build your own custom shapes then save them for further use.
Geometria's toolbag enables you to draw lines, perpendiculars, midpoints, bisectors; measure and lay off distances and angles; transform, cut and join solids; build them from scratch using a smart xyGrid.
