The Data Transport Agent offers a common mechanism for synchronizing and transporting a variety of data between a variety of systems. The Data Transport Agent has been developed primarily to provide other developers with a robust, managed interface and synchronization architecture from which they can create their own synchronization modules (using the Microsoft .Net Framework) based on the synchronization requirements of their own company.
