MultiZilla was the first browser extension to introduce the tabbed UI for Mozilla. Current Mozilla builds make use of this idea but it is only partly integrated by the Mozilla team, so MultiZilla still has lots of extra features that cannot be found in today's Mozilla builds (although Firefox adds even more MultiZilla features like middle-click on bookmarks and some of the tab group features).

However, we constantly work on new improvements and bug fixes. We're also very keen on keeping our users satisfied and work closely together towards a next release.

MultiZilla features
  • Toolbar
MultiZilla adds an entirely new toolbar with several useful features to your browser. It's available at the click of a button. The MultiZilla toolbar is also available in FullScreen mode (F11). You can hide one or more buttons on the Buttons Pref Panel or Hide the complete toolbar with F12. You can also use the Menu View->Show/Hide for the latter.

  • Tab Menu
MultiZilla's tab-context menu provides several new tab-specific features. You can open new tabs, duplicate tabs, open tabs at specified locations, open tab in a new window, move tab to open windows, reload one or all tabs, set reload interval per tab, close one or all tabs, all tabs at left or right side of a tab and has it's own tab history.

  • Managers
MultiZilla managers give you full control over: tabs, tab sessions, permissions, the used user agent and preferences. A full description of each manager is beyond the scope of this page so we kindly ask you to visit the managers index page where you can find additional information.

  • Quick Prefs Menu
The QuickPrefs menu gives quick access to many preferences, and takes up no vertical space in your window. This also includes the ability to change your useragent string and to spoof the referrer. It effectively supercedes the Preferences Toolbar, UA Bar and refspoof. This means less download and less installation troubles.

  • Preference Panels
The MultiZilla team wants to add flexibility and power to Mozilla, not remove it, so we've always been in favour of making our browser as configurable as possible, so you will find several new preferences panels to make your browser your own.

  • GoogleBox
To save yet more vertical space in your window, you can use our integrated GoogleBox which integrates on to the MultiZilla toolbar and yet gives you all the functionality of the Googlebar.
