File Rules is a file manager that totally replaces traditional hierarchical tree structures that normally helped to categorize and organize files.
Just uses keywords, entered or selected by the user in order to organize and store any kind of files and documents.
The disadvantages when using current file managers based on tree structures are many: you may forget the path in which the file was stored, you may come across documents about which you cannot remember the content, duplicate files and folders, have different versions of the same document, and have no clue about which version is the last one, and so on…
File Rules was especially created to get rid of those inconveniences. When you use File Rules, it is no longer necessary to remember where files are stored because you can search by keywords; and when you find a file, you can simply deduct its topic, just by giving a glance to the relations Files Rules shows about the file.
Besides, File Rules allows you to categorize keywords that are used in accordance with their linguistic context, thus creating relations between words and categories that simplify search results.
That is the way in which a keyword may be included in several categories and the files are related to both: the keyword and its category. Then, when you obtain search results, there is never such thing as an endless list of files: they are only relevant categorized results.

MS Office 2000 or higher / Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher.
