CDDataExtract is a simple mechanism for extracting the contents of a data CD onto disk and removing the "readonly" attribute on copied files and directories.
Its purpose is to act as a simple "mini-install" program useful for moving files off a data CD or DVD (optical drives) onto a user's hard disk.
In the process it removes the read-only attribute of any files copied. Whilst it might work on some systems for audio CDs or video DVDs it isn't intended for that purpose.
Important Note: Throughout this help reference is made to data CDs but CDDataExtract also works with data DVDs.
A GUI is provided that allows the user to change the Source (the CD drive) and the Target (the disk directory).
