Kankowski Edit is for editing plain text files, HTML files (non-WYSIWYG mode
only), ini files and so on.

Kankowski Edit has macros for fast typing HTML tags, signatures, greetings or some other things; macro can be assigned to any key.

Options, macros and templates are saved separately for each file type.
Statistics for current file: number of lines, words, characters.
Autosaving when switching to another task, reloading while switching back.
Explorer menu for file operations.
Most recent used directories list.

Kankowski Edit features
  • Large limit on file size – 2 Gb (Notepad has 32 Kb limit).
  • Multilevel undo/redo (using own undo system).
  • Syntax highlight for C and HTML files.
  • Working with files in DOS code page.
  • Autoindenting (current line as previous one). Indent/Unindent with Tab/Shift+Tab.
  • Find/Replace (Notepad has only Find). Search for line breaks and tabs.
  • Case convertions (lower case, upper case, sentence case, title case).
  • Toolbar, line and column number display.
  • Most recent used files list
