The SoapBox IM Client allows the ability to sort contacts into groups, with names chosen by you. Sort business, work, or personal contacts anyway you like! Choose to have contacts within your groups be displayed or hidden
Contact Organization Tools
Create group lists to organize your contacts. Copy or move contacts from other existing groups you have. Also import or export your group lists & contacts in an XML file.
The SoapBox IM Client contact list screen allows access to advanced contact options, such as Rename, move or copy to another group, Send a File, view Contact Profile and view Message History.
Search for other contacts within your network, by contact name or group name.
Chat and Alert Options
Change the text font, style, and color of your messages to your current contact. Choose from any fonts you have on your computer.
Transfer any file form your computer to your current contact. Great for sending documents, images and other files securely with SoapBox Sever 2005 Standard Edition.
Retrieve and view past conversations with your contacts. Messages are grouped by day and contact name for easy searching. Print or save the conversation to an XML file if you choose.
Choose from four availability modes: Available, Busy, Away, Invisible. With each availability mode, you can set a status message for users to see. For example, you can set your availability mode as "Away", and set your status message as "In a Meeting". The SoapBox IM Client has nine preset status messages to choose from, or create your own.
A pop-up alert will display when one of your contacts comes online. Also customizable alerts will sound when contacts come online or go offline, or when message is sent to you.
Organizations running the SoapBox Server with Active Directory now have single sign-on capabilities. Your users will never have to enter a password again! Simply install the SoapBox client in Single Sign-On mode and start it up. That’s it!
Conference Chat Options
Choose a conference name and also a subject to keep your conference chat on topic and productive.
Choose from an array of settings for your conference, such as Password Protect, Member-limit, Conference Room Description, and more.
Invite contacts to your conference with ease by checking their name from the Invite Contacts menu, which resembles your SoapBox IM contact groups.
Other Settings
Choose from several profile icons to represent you, or upload your own image.
Download more emoticons or "smilies" to use in your chats. Requires an internet connection.
