File sharing using P2P application is fun, but providing illegal contents to upload, although unintended, can brings legal consequences. Using ShareControl you can still share your files with others without having to face this risk.
Filename most of the time does not clearly what the contents of the file. Preview while doing the download will neither reveal the real contents on that early stage. Further, with unintended download process, lets say overnight, you will not get the chance to check all files you download before others starts uploading it from your hard disk.
Is ShareControl a threat to P2P sharing community? No. I don't think so. ShareControl will not reduce the number of quality contents available to share. On the contrary, a screening by the participant about what will be made available to share on their system will significantly improve the credibility of this community in general.
ShareControl will reduce the chance that your computer is used in distribution of contents that you don't approve.
